Breaking News! SEMCORP Hungary's first coating production line is now operational（trial production)

On July 3, 2023, local time in Hungary, SEMCORP Corporation's first coating production line in Hungary, SEMCORP's overseas subsidiary, was launched (trial production), marking a further progress in the construction of their first lithium battery separator factory overseas. This also signifies a milestone in SEMCORP's accelerated overseas expansion process.

In 2020, an investment was made in Debrecen, Hungary, to construct a wet-process lithium battery separator production line and supporting factory, primarily engaged in the manufacturing and sales of wet-process base films and functional coated separators for lithium batteries.

In May 2022, SEMCORP Hungary reached a cooperation agreement with ACC, a company based in France, stipulating that SEMCORP Hungary will supply approximately 655 million Euros worth of lithium battery separator products to ACC from 2024 to 2030.

In October 2022, the construction of Phase 1 in SEMCORP Hungary was completed and entered the equipment installation phase.

In July 2023, SEMCORP's first coating production line in Hungary was launched.

The total investment of the SEMCORP factory in Hungary is approximately 340 million euros. It plans to construct four diaphragm production lines and multiple coating production lines. As an important step in its global strategic layout, the successful operation of the SEMCORP factory in Hungary will give SEMCORP shares a competitive advantage in overseas markets.
